What themes are unique to me? In painting and drawing, I’d say the most original are the nude children-youth, then the “Angry children” cycle, then forests-shrines, doors, followed by more traditional-Lithuanian subjects. Then appeared the composition with Samogitian albs and surplices (I have them in my chests), with wooden figurines of St. John of Nepomuk (about 15 items), St. John the Evangelist (about 15 items), and armless Christ from the Jonava church basement (about 15 items) – all from my family collection. Or palm trees cut from tin that I had found in Plateliai (about 20 different configurations), or a cycle of “Lithuanian” cow skulls… Ceramic crosses and the narratives I used for my jewelry of a later period are also rather unique to my art: flowers on Mary’s robe in the Gate of Dawn, a motif of the rocking horse, a crocodile and heart motif, a Roman’s glove, and votive amulets – hands, feet, and masks.
